The Grange

After a little hiatus in Penang (report to follow), July began with a bang.
We decided on a pot-luck party at "Casa Khim" (my flat lah!) last night based on the main dish of Chillie Con Carne.

The "Sith Lord" then decided to break out his treasure trove of wines, starting with a 2004  Torbreck "Woodcutter Semillion", followed by a 1997 Grange!

"With CHILLIE CON CARNE!!!" I hear you shout.

Well we are a little more sane then that. The two wines; with cheese; became the entre. And a splendid entre it was too.

After that everything else was down hill. Although the other courses were palatable, (by the way, Chillie Con Carne should never be cooked with low fat minced beef, it becomes almost gritty, I'll have to mix it with some minced pork or chopped streaky bacon next time) nothing could compare with the almost sexual noises coming from the everyone who drank the Grange.

A nice beginning to July.
