People First

During our discussions of the current economic climate, especially with the sharp increase of commodity, fuel and food prices, one subject that crops up from the sofa these days is this "People First" value. Apparently a few of the Jim's sofa caucus is consciously practicing these values, even in their business dealings.
In this day and age where most businesses are being forced to practice a "Profit First" policy, the "People First" policy is certainly admirable. I personally believe that many of  us have been lucky enough to have reached a stage in our lives where we are comfortable with were we are and have the luxury to practice these "People First" policies. Long may this last!
